A badminton player Zhang Ning daughter of the People's Republic of China.
BWF World Championships he won in 2003 by beating Gong Ruina 11-6, 11-3. The following year he performed at the 2004 Athens Olympics and won gold in the women's singles. In 2005 and 2006 he was back in the final of the World Championship, but he was defeated Xie Xingfang on both occasions. In 2007 he won the Singapore Open for the fifth time, but again he failed in the World Championship since defeated Wang Chen in the semi-finals. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics the following year, Zhang defend her singles title with a gold medal by beating Xie in the final.
